Black Eco Bloom is looking to add a Fund Development Coordinator volunteer to our team.  Black Eco Bloom is a new sustainable development organization that focuses on supporting individuals who identify with the Black woman experience in their journeys in the environmental sector in Canada and abroad. We want to create a space that nurtures Black women, Black transgender women and Black non-binary individuals to be leaders in the environmental sector. Our volunteers will gain experience in a startup environment and contribute to the growth of the organization. 

About the role:

 

The Fund Development Coordinator works with the development team on procuring funding for Black Eco Bloom. Funding goals are dependent on our quarterly & annual goals.

 

Essential Responsibilities: 

 

• oversees the growth of BEB’s funding streams

• researches funding opportunities & applications

• grant-writing and funding proposals

• facilitates the funding aspects of the development plan

• leads crowdfunding and other fundraising efforts

• works with different teams to identify their funding needs

• oversees fundraising volunteers

 

Essential Qualifications: 

• experience as a fundraiser or in a fund development-related role

• experience with grant writing

• organized

• degree or diploma in business or business administration is considered an asset
