About
Black Eco Bloom is a national Black women-led organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of climate and environmental justice leaders.
We provide essential support and resources to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to drive meaningful change in our communities.
We do this through our 3 Cs of change!
-
We’re committed to empowering our communities through diverse and sustainable education and training opportunities.
This includes expanding access to valuable resources like conferences, events, and professional development programs.
-
We empower communities to build resilience and adapt to climate change by partnering with municipalities and climate action and equity-focused organizations to provide a variety of support services.
-
We foster community engagement by creating opportunities for community members to participate in our growth and development, including through community connection points.

To truly achieve environmental justice, we must address systemic issues and create a more equitable and supportive environment for Black women in the sector.
Did You Know?
Black women in the environmental sector often face significant challenges due to a lack of sustained structural, societal, and fiscal support
This includes:
fiscal: access to flexible, sustainable funding
structural: access to mentorship and sponsorship
societal: the presence of healthy and sustainable movement spaces for the mind and body;
communal: spaces to convene and collaborate
These barriers are literal roadblocks on our mission to move our communities (social and ecological) away from the state of needing to be resilient and into homeostasis with each other and our Earth.
